The Da Vinci Code
A lot of people are still up in arms about the book called The DaVinci Code the main reason for the controversy is the fact that this is a novel that many people are reading and taking it as a fact, we should not be surprised that stories like this come out of the darkness, and even Dan Brown the man who wrote it, states in the courts that it's a novel, and not truth, a story of intrigue and conspiracy, but in the end only a novel. There is no encoded message within the story, no secret knowledge recorded, just the thoughts of one man, who has read the Bible, and twisted things around to make a novel that will make him money, the truth remains in the Bible and only the Bible. The artist DaVinci was not at the last supper, and the painting that the novel is based upon, was painted many hundreds of years after Christ's last supper, and is the dreams again of just one man. All good Christians know the truth..
REVIVAL
A single sentence written by John Wesley has sometimes helped me understand the truth. “God does nothing in the world - except through prayer.” Lets put it another way: Whenever the Lord wants to bring about something in the world, he will touch the hearts and minds of the people who pray to him, and He will lead them to carry out His wishes. Above you can see two leading ministers at the site of the New University in Eket Nigeria. On this site we already have some buildings that are in need of repair, but time will put them right, and make then ready to use for the teaching at the University, It will also have it's own Church buildings and school for the children.We have lots to do on this new site so why not do something wonderful and help in this work for the Lord and the people of Nigeria...

House-Church Leader and Elderly Mother Formally Charged/Pray for Pastor Fenggang – China Aid Association
On February 8, Beijing house-church leader Hua Huiqi was formally arrested by Beijing Public Security Bureau Chaoyang Branch and his 76-year-old mother was arrested for the second time by Beijing Security Bureau Chongwen Branch. In January, Hua Huiqi and his elderly mother were attacked and wounded by seven police officers while walking near a 2008 Olympic hotel site in Beijing, China. His family later learned he was sentenced to one month of criminal detention. Pray God protects Hua and touches the body of his ill mother. Pray the Holy Spirit encourages and comforts their family. Hebrews 10:23 Pastor Liu Fenggang, who was recently released from prison, is in the hospital with heart problems. Pray God heals his body and comforts his family. ERITREA Pastor Arrested
Pastor Habtom Tesfamikael, one of the last remaining free Christian leaders in Eritrea, was recently arrested and imprisoned. He was a pastor of one of the largest Pentecostal churches in Eritrea, the Asmara Full Gospel Church. Pastor Habtom is married and has been serving the Lord for more than 30 years. Pray God will protect Pastor Habtom while in prison and comfort his wife. Ask God to use his experience to bring others to the knowledge of Jesus Christ. Romans 12:14, 21 .(VOM Sources)

Pastor Ordered to Leave Turkmenistan
Baptist pastor Vyacheslav Kalataevsky has been denied permission to remain in his native town of Turkmenbashi, Turkmenistan. According to Forum 18 News, "Kakataevsky's visa application to remain with his wife and family was rejected by the Migration Service and he will have to leave the country. He is due to leave on a flight to Moscow on December 11." Officials have refused to explain the reason for denying the visa, Pastor Kalataevsky explained to Forum, "But of course it is linked to my activity as a believer. Everything that has happened to me since 2001 is related to that." Pastor Kalataevsky was released in November after eight months in prison. Pray for his family during this difficult time. Pray for his church as they have no pastor, Ask God to protect them.

INDIA
Two Pastors Beaten and Arrested – Compass Direct News
On November 25, Pastor Joemon, Pastor Jojo and another believer were stripped of their clothes, tied to a pole and beaten after a worship service at Christ Vision church was raided in the Hassan district of Karnataka. According to a Compass Direct news report, when police arrived several hours later, they took the Christians to the police station and charged the pastors with forcibly converting Hindus to Christianity. The Christians have reportedly refused to press charges, saying they have forgiven their attackers. Pray for the full recovery of those injured and for endurance for them to remain faithful despite this attack. Pray for Christian converts in India who are facing pressure to renounce their faith.

Imprisoned Baptist Pastor in Poor Health –

Recently, imprisoned Baptist pastor, Zaur Balaev, was transferred to a prison colony in Azerbaijan where his family is forced to bribe prison guards to bring him food. According to a Christian World News (CWN) report, Mission Network News and the Slavic Gospel Association reported the frail pastor was experiencing harsh conditions at the prison. CWN reported, Joel Griffith of Slavic Gospel Association said, "Officials at this prison where he's being held are demanding a high level of payment in what seems to be basically bribes. They're demanding these bribes before Pastor Balaev is getting food or being able to meet with his family." The report added that since Pastor Balaev's transfer to Darnagyul, the pastor has been in poor health, and his church and family are concerned. However, they have been able to supply him with warm clothes, blankets and food. Pray God heals Pastor Balaev and works in his favor during the appeal process. Pray the Holy Spirit will encourage his family and church during this difficult time.
