In 1994, the St.Thomas-a-Becket Institute was set up as a way to teach the Bible to many. Then over the years the seed was planted for the setting up of a Bible College to work world wide and to teach teachers to teach others. To run such a Theological Institute and College we needed a team to help run such a school of learning. We started off slowly and started to build on a dream, working and researching until we were introduced to people who had years of teaching of the Holy Bible. A lot of the courses used by the St.Thomas-a-Becket Institute would not be possible without their work and help. At the end of 1998 we were pleased to have good other Christians teachers join our team to help others on all fields of Christian education, these people have with their good Church background helped many people around the world. Over the past few years we have sent hundreds of courses to many parts of the world and in August 1999 with the help of the Nigerian Government we annexed a branch of the Theological Institute to Eket Nigeria, and are now a recognized Christian Theological Institute in Africa. and at the start of the year 2000 we opened our first prison ministry with Bible school in Maryland U.S.A. with the work of Dr. Orlando N. Hamilton. And with the help of many people and friends of the Synod, We are now training new ministers in South America and with the Lords help we hope soon to open a Bible teaching College annex in India, there is also a chance of us opening up another Bible College in Kenya East Africa. We are now helping with peoples needs in Kenya, Nigeria and India. Also we now have many Regional Bishop's in Nigeria, a Chancellor, General Secretary and an Archbishop working in West Africa. All this started with nothing, and now we cover the world with God's love. Now we have many Ministers and Churches taking the Word around the world. For a long time, we have had the Wesley Synod in the U.S.A. working with us, a strong and well founded Synod. In 2003 we became one Synod, by joining both Synod's together. Since then we have moved into South America, Colombia, Mexico and Argentina and Asia. We are to build a new University in Eket Nigeria, so the road is clearly marked for other people, in other countries to build on what was not just a dream in our minds but the true wish of God, that we go forward and teach the Word. We are still working on what is the right way to go, but we are sure the Lord will show us. As we go forward into the year 2007, the staff, ministers and Bishop's within the Synod worldwide look forward to training new ministers, who will go forward and teach the Word of the Lord with many good people around the world. We have many Churches in Africa, Europe, India and America and we will keep on planting Churches. The plan of all our Bishop's is to work within their own diocese, to guide new ministers and to plant new Churches and to keep open full communication with each other world wide, using today's technology. for our is fully Accredited.
